The Leadership Team works in close partnership with the Board of Governors to set and implement the strategic direction for the school in line with the school's agreed mission, vision and values. The team is in charge of all operational matters in the school and reports to the Board of Governors through the Director.
The overall responsibility for the management of The British School Society and of the School is entrusted to a Board of Governors, consisting of nine elected representatives of the parent body; up to three co-opted members, including up to two nominated by the British High Commission; the Director of the school; and one elected teacher representative. The President of the Society is the British High Commissioner appointed to India at the time.
The Board, in consultation with the Senior Leadership team, provides strategic and fiduciary direction to the school. It oversees school operations and ensures compliance with the legal and statutory framework of the country.
Governors are elected annually from the parent body, via nomination and secret ballot.
